India's COVID-19 tally on Monday surged to 4,31,05,401 with the addition of 3,207 new cases while the death toll mounted to 5,24,093 with 29 more fatalities, according to the Union Health Ministry.
The country also recorded 3,410 new recovered cases in 24 hours. With these new recoveries, the cumulative tally of recovered patients is 4,25,60,905. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent as of Monday, the Health Ministry stated.
Consequently, India’s COVID-19 active caseload stood at 20,403, which constitute 0.05 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
India has so far conducted 84,10,29,858 cumulative COVID-19 tests. The weekly positivity rate in the country currently is recorded at 0.82 per cent while the daily positivity rate is reported to be 0.95 per cent, the ministry added.
