India on Saturday recorded 21,411 new COVID-19 cases and 67 deaths, pushing the country's tally to 44,38,68,476 and the death toll to 5,25,997, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.
The 67 COVID-19 fatalities include 32 from Kerala, seven form West Bengal, six from Maharashtra, three each from Uttar Pradesh an d Gujarat, two each from Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Assam and Bihar, and one each from Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, Puducherry, and Sikkim.
A total of 4,80,202 COVID-19 tests were conducted in India in the last 24 hours. India has so far conducted 87,21,36,407 COVID-19 cases.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 4.46 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 4.46 per cent, as per the latest update.
The country also recorded 20,726 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of recovered cases to 4,31,92,379. India's recovery rate currently stood at 98.46 per cent.
Consequently, India's COVID-19 active caseload stood at 1,50,100 as of Saturday.
As many as 2,01,68,14,771 Covid vaccine doses, including 6,93,39,394 precautionary doses, have been administered in India under the COVID-19 vaccination drive, according to the latest update.
