India COVID-19 Update: 1,829 more test positive, 33 die in 24 hours

India on Wednesday recorded 1,829 new COVID-19 cases and 33 deaths in a span of 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry. The country's cumulative number of confirmed
COVID-19 cases has reached 4,31,27,199 while the death toll stood at 5,24,293 as of Wednesday.
The Health Ministry stated that the country's COVID-19 active caseload has dropped to 15,647, which constitute 0.04 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
A total of 2,549 more patients have recovered from the infection in 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is 4,25,87,259. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.75 per cent, the ministry stated.
As per the Health Ministry data, India has so far conducted over 84.49 crore (84,49,26,602) cumulative COVID-19 tests and the country's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 191.65 crore (1,91,65,00,770).
