India continues to witness fall in daily new positive cases

With the fall of 1,14,216 cases in a span of 24 hours, the active caseload further dips to 21,14,508, while the daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 17th consecutive day

Is India witnessing an ebb in the Covid-18 second wave? The country has been witnessing a declining trend in Covid-19 cases in the past few days. The daily new cases in the past 24 hours further declined to 1.65 lakh cases, the lowest in last 46 days, according to the latest update by the Union Health and Family Welare Ministry.

With the fall of 1,14,216 cases in a span of 24 hours, the active caseload further dips to 21,14,508, while the daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new cases for the 17th consecutive day. With it, the recovery rate further increased to 91.25%

Daily Positivity Rate at 8.02 per cent continues the streak of less than 10 per cent positivity for six continuous days. Testing capacity substantially ramped up. A total of  34.3 cr tests have been conducted so far.

More than 30.35 Lakh (30,35,749) vaccine doses have been given in last 24 hours, according to the latest update by the Union ministry.
