Manipur on Friday recorded 79 new COVID-19 cases and zero death cases, pushing the state's total positive cases to 1,38,389 and confining the death toll at 2,124. The day's positivity rate is 8.4 per cent.
Among the new COVID-19 cases, 34 were from Imphal West, 23 from Imphal East, five each from Thoubal and Bishnupur, three from Kakching, two each from kangpokpi, Noney and Ukhrul, one each from Kamjong, Tamenglong and Chandel
As per the update, a total of 936 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Friday. Manipur has so far conducted 16,24,962 COVID-19 tests.
The state also recorded 62 new COVID-19 recoveries increasing the number of recovered cases to 1,35,621 and the recovery rate is 98 per cent. Manipur now has 644 COVID-19 active cases, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.
Meanwhile, a total of 71 D-type oxygen cylinders and one B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of July 21.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 30,50,919 (first dose: 16,06,824 second dose: 12,78,032 and precautionary dose: 1,66,063).
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 62.12 per cent and for the second dose is 53.71 per cent, it mentioned.
