Four more test positive in Jiribam

JNNURM Community Centre at Babupara declared as a containment zone.

Ater four persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in Jiribam district, district magistrate W Malemnganba on Sunday issued an order for declaring JNNURM Community Centre at Babupara as a containment zone.

Trespassing and movement in the containment zones have been strictly prohibited as per the order. It mentioned that those who violate the order shall be punished under section 188 of Indian Penal Code and Section 51 of Disaster Management Act, 2020.

Meantime, superseding the previous order issued on July 24, DC Malemnganba today issued a fresh order which cancelled the permission given to K Traders, Eastern Traders and Das Pharmacy for acquiring essential goods. On public interest, the order mentioned fresh guidelines to be followed by wholesalers and retailers.

It stated that wholesalers and retailers of Jiribam must contact the wholesalers of Assam if they wish to transport essential goods. It mentioned that good carrying vehicles arriving from Assam can unload their goods at Jiribam Municipal Market. Additional SP Jiribam H Basulal Singh has been assigned to look over the said activities, it added.
