Four more test COVID-19 positive in Manipur, active caseload surges to 24

According to the latest update by the state health department, a total of 70 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Friday. The state's daily positivity rate is 5.7 per cent.

Manipur on Friday reported four new COVID-19 cases and zero death cases, pushing the state's total positive cases to 1,37,274 and confining the death toll at 2,120. Of the four positive cases, two cases each were reported from Imphal West and Imphal East respectively. The positivity rate is 5.7 per cent.

According to the latest update by the state health department, a total of 70 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Friday. Manipur has so far conducted 16,14,759 COVID-19 tests.

No new COVID-19 recovery was also recorded in the state on Friday, confining the number of recovered cases at 1,35,130 and the recovery rate is 98.44 per cent. Manipur now has 24 COVID-19 active cases, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 29,64,355 (first dose: 15,93,297 second dose: 12,59,137 precautionary dose: 1,11,921).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.97 per cent and for the second dose is 53.19 per cent, it mentioned.
