Manipur on Sunday reported five new COVID-19 cases, while no cases of deaths caused by COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, official sources said.
The COVID-19 Common Control Room on Sunday stated in a release that two males and three females tested positive for COVID-19.
The new positive cases include three from Imphal East and two from Churachandpur. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.
The daily positivity rate was 1.8 per cent. Manipur has so far conducted 16,53,727 COVID-19 tests, including 248 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of deaths remained 2,148 while the cumulative number of positive cases stood at 1,39,787, recovered cases at 1,37,609 and recovery rate at 98.45 per cent with no new recovery.
The number of active cases rose to 30 from Saturday's 25.
As on September 17, a total of 66 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 14 B-type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
The number of doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered on September 17 is 711. The cumulative number of doses administered so far is 3216717. Of the total; the cumulative number of the first dose is 1639845, second dose is 1318437 and precautionary dose is 258435.
