Delhi's COVID-19 caseload on Wednesday surged to 14,34,188 after 94 more persons tested positive for the infection in a span of 24 hours, according to the latest updates from the state health bulletin.
A total of 79,935 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, of which 94 samples tested positive, which translates to 0.12 per cent positivity rate. A cumulative of 2,14,83,104 people have been tested for COVID-19 in the national capital as of Wednesday, as per the bulletin.
The national capital also recorded six deaths during the same period, pushing the death toll to 24,977, it stated.
Meanwhile, 240 new recoveries pushed the cumulative number of COVID-19 recovered cases in Delhi to 14,07,832, leaving the number of active cases at 1,379, it added.
As per the bulletin, Delhi has 1,599 containment zones as of Wednesday.
As many as 77,53,986 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in Delhi, including 59,72,617 beneficiaries with first dose and 17,81,369 beneficiaries with second dose, it added.
