COVID-19: Three more test positive in Manipur

The state's COVID-19 caseload surged to 29,291 on Sunday.

Manipur's COVID-19 caseload surged to 29,291 as three more persons tested positive for the viral infection in a span of 24 hours, the state health department said.

As per a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, the new cases included one each from Imphal East, Imphal and Churachandpur.

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, release stated.

While the death toll remained at 373, the active caseload dipped to 28 after six more persons recovered from COVID-19. The cumulative number of recovered cases surged to 28,890 and the state's recovery rate reached 98.63 per cent. The release stated.

It further stated that 2,940 more people have been vaccinated and the cumulative number of vaccine beneficiaries has risen to 68,405. The total number of healthcare workers who have been vaccinated is30,368, it added.

In case of emergency, the public have been advised to contact helpline number 1800-345-3818. Home isolation helpline number is 0385-2414009.

The state health department further said no severe reactions or allergies were reported following the immunisation.
