COVID-19 cases in Manipur dropped to three new single day cases on Friday, two persons from the general population and one personnel from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), as per the latest updates from the state Health Services.
A release from the COVID-19 Common Control Room on Friday stated that Bishnupur and Ukhrul districts reported one each COVID-19 positive case. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.
The State Level Covid 19 Deaths Audit Committee reported no new cases of death due to COVID-19. The cumulative number of deaths stood at 2,148 on Friday.
At least five persons were discharged after completion of surveillance, the release stated.
The cumulative number of positive cases reached 1,39,755, inclding ttotal recoveries of 1,37,572, and the state's recovery rate is 98.44 per cent.
The number of active cases declined to 35.
As on September 8, a total of 87 D-type Oxygen cylinders and seven B-type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
The number of doses of Covid 19 vaccine administered on September 8 was 2,612. The cumulative doses vaccinated so far is 3201120. Of the total, the cumulative number of first dose rose to 1636097, second dose 1312151 and precautionary dose 252872.
