With Churachandpur district reporting 15 COVID-19 positive cases in a single day, the Districts Surveillance Officer/ IDSP, Dr M Kaisiankhai Haokip on Tuesday called on the people to follow SOP rules as positive cases are rising by the day.
The DSO/IDSP also called on those with signs of symptoms to go for free testing which is being conducted regularly in the hospital campus.
There was complacency on the part of the public as Covid positive cases had long been absent in the district until recently, Dr M Kaisiankhai Haokip said and appealed all to take it seriously and wear masks, use hand sanitizer and maintain social distance.
All those who are positive are kept in home isolation and there were no serious cases among those monitored by them, the DSO/IDSP said.
