COVID-19 has claimed 958 lives of people in Assam as of Tuesday, while the confirmed caseload mounted to 21,00,068, according to the state health department. 

As the latest updates by the health department, the state has recorded an impressive total recoveries of 2,04,718. The total number of active case rose to 4,389.

Kamrup Metro has the highest confirmed cases of 20663, followed by 3927, Nagaon 3895, Tinsukia 3366 and Jorhat 3338 till Tuesday morning.
