Assam, Nagaland remain COVID-19 free

Assam's COVID-19 caseload remained unchanged at 7,46,099, including 7,38,064 total recoveries and 8,035 deaths.

Assam and Nagaland in Northeast India remained COVID-19 free as both states reported zero active case tally with no new reports of positive cases for the past few days, as per official sources.

According to the latest updated data issued by the Union Health Ministry, Assam's COVID-19 caseload remained unchanged at 7,46,099, including 7,38,064 total recoveries and 8,035 deaths. The recovery ratio stood at 98.92 per cent and the death ratio is 1.08 per cent.

Nagaland's COVID-19 caseload stood at 35,986, including 782 deaths and 35,204 total recoveries. The recovery ratio recorded was 97.83 per cent and the death ratio stood at 2.17 per cent.

Meanwhile, India's COVID-19 caseload reached 4,46,70,075 with 360 new cases added to it, while the total number of recoveries reached 4,41,33,433 and the death toll climbed to 5,30,596.  And, the total number of active cases in the country recorded on Wednesday was 6,046.
