Arunachal’s total COVID-19 positive tally rises to 1,158

As many as 32 more people tested positive for Coronavirus infection in Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal’s total COVID-19 positive tally has reached 1,158, with 32 more people testing positive for the disease, official sources said on Monday.

The 32 new COVID-19 positive cases included six Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel from Upper Siang district.

Eleven new cases were reported in Seppa, eight in Changlang district, five in the Capital Complex region and one each in East Siang and Lower Subansiri districts, State Surveillance Officer Dr L Jampa said. He said that all were shifted to COVID-19 care centres.

So far, a total of 59,558 samples have been tested for the disease in the state, Jampa said, adding that the positive tally has risen to 1,158 cases that includes 650 active cases and 505 recovered patients and three deaths, Dr Jampa said, according to reports.

The state's rate stands at 35 per cent, the health department stated.
