Arunachal reports 11 fresh COVID 19 cases, tally rises to 287

State surveillance officer Dr L Jampa informed that out of the 11 fresh cases, five each were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex and Lower Subansiri and one from Changlang.

Arunachal Pradesh reported 11 fresh COVID-19 positive cases, taking the total infection tally to 287 so far, official sources said on Thursday. 

State surveillance officer Dr L Jampa informed that out of the 11 fresh cases, five each were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex and Lower Subansiri and one from Changlang.

The official data stated that positive cases of Lower Subansiri are returnees from Assam while a positive case from Changlang is a returnee from Uttar Pradesh, three positive cases from Itanagar Capital Complex are returnees from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Assam and the remaining two are from Naharlagun.

The state surveillance officer said, “All are asymptomatic and shifted to Covid Care Centres and contact tracing of the two patients from Naharlagun is underway.”

The Arunachal Pradesh government has imposed a seven-day total lockdown in the state Capital Complex area after witnessing a rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in the state.
