4,24,73,057 people recovers from COVID-19 in India

India reported 1,778 more COVID-19 positive cases, and the active caseload dropped to 23,087 from Tuesday's 23,913.

The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in India has reached 4,24,73,057, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday.

The recovery rate stood at 98.75 per cent as 2,542 more recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours.

A total of 1,778 COVID-19 positive cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. Consequently, the daily positivity rate stood at 0.26 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.36 per cent as of Wednesday morning.

The country's cumulative active caseload dropped to 23,087 from Tuesday's 23,913. The active cases accounted for 0.05 per cent of the total confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, 18.42 cr total tests have been conducted so far; as 6,77,218 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.

So far, 181.89 cr vaccine doses have been administered under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Till date, more than 52 lakh (52,10,775) children in the age group 12-14 years have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
