38,164 new COVID-19 positive cases push India's COVID-19 active caseload to 4,21,665

COVID-19 active cases constitute 1.35 per cent of total confirmed cases in India which has reached 30,308,456.

India's COVID-19 active caseload currently stands at 4,21,665 with 38,164 new Covid-19 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours, official sources said.

The number of COVID-19 active cases constitute 1.35 per cent of total cases which has reached 30,308,456.

However, the weekly positivity rate remains below five per cent, currently at 2.08 per cent, while the daily positivity rate stood at 2.61 per cent, less than three per cent for 28 consecutive days

Testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and  in total, 44.54 crore tests have been conducted. And, as many as 40.64 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

Meanwhile, 38,660 more patients recovered in the last 24 hours, while the death toll rose to 41,4108. The number of total recoveries is now 3,03,08,456 and the recovery rate increased to 97.32 per cent.
