As many as 21,402 persons have taken the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 12,163 have been injected with both doses on Saturday, taking the total vaccinated tally to 33,565 in Ukhrul district.
According to DSO Ukhrul, the district reported one positive case while five patients were discharged on Saturday.
The district currently has 54 active cases with 17 patients being lodged at district hospital isolation ward, and 27 patients lodged at transit COVID Care Centre.
Of the 1,794 cumulative positive cases, 967 patients are males and 827 females. While cumulative deaths remained 52.
As of January 16 till this Saturday, 21,402 have been administered with the first dose while 12,163 have received both doses. At least, 36 people have taken the first dose while as many as 102 individuals have taken the second dose on Saturday.
When IFP enquired about the slow pace in COVID-19 vaccination, it was found that post COVID vaccination side effects was one of the main deterrence among many other factors.
