As many as 18 staff of CMO, Churachandpur tested COVID-19 positive on Thursday.

The district reported 56 new COVID-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the total active cases to 299.
The new cases include 41 males and 15 females. They were detected through RAT - 18 and RT-PCR - 38.

It is alarming that many of the cases were from frontline workers such as doctors, nurses. Besides, local transmission is on the rise in the district.
