A Manipuri anthology of poems titled ‘Kuphet Kaphet’ written in Bengali script by Konsam Loidang was released in connection with the observance of 29th foundation day observance of Malem Ayeekol (MAK) at Old Assembly Hall in Imphal West on Monday.

Giving her speech, Loidang who is in her mid 70s, said that it was her first book written with the objective to contribute few of her works to the field of literature.

The event was attended by convenor of Manipuri Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademy N Kirankumar Singh as chief guest, president of MAK W Mahendra as function president, principal of DM College of Arts Ch Sheelaramani, Sahitya Akademi awardee Lanchenba Meetei and columnist Soibam Indrakumar as guests of honour.
