Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Thoubal district, Wangjing on Tuesday celebrated its 20th Anniversary at Khorirol Sanglen Wangjing, in which a lecture session and poetry recitation were organised.
As part of the occasion, a Dr Soibam Kumar Memorial Lecture and a poetry recitation was also organised.
During the ‘Dr Soibam Kumar Memorial Lecture’, Tekcham Rameshwor delivered talk on ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ followed by Sanasam Nabadweep’s speech on ‘Myth amasung Puwari gi Mityeng dagi Taibangpal Semlakpa’ (Creation of the world from the eyes of myth and history). Later, Yengkhom Indira hosted the poetry recitation in which 25 poets recited their original poems.
The event was attended by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Thoubal district president Moirangthem Rajendra, Khorirol Sandoklup Wangjing president Tongbram Babulal and Ningol Khut Manipur Wangjing president Khundongbam Gunamani along with other literature enthusiasts.
