The 45th foundation day of Khorirol Sandoklup Wangjing was celebrated by the organisation at Khorirol Sanglen Wangjing, Thoubal during which an award distribution ceremony was organised on Wednesday.
At the occassion, the ‘Ibotomba Ningsing Sahitya Sebak Mana, 2022’ was presented to Rajkumar Gunachandra from Awang Potsangbam Khullen, Imphal West district and Okram Mani from Wangjing Heituppokpi Leikai, Thoubal district.
The ‘Tekcham Kali Thougalloi Henthouba Mana, 2022’ was presented to Ahongsangbam Ibomcha from Lamding, Thoubal district and the ‘Dr Soibam Kumar Ningsing Sahitya Mana, 2022’ was presented to Jawaharlal Ningombam from Thoubal Ningombam Mayai Leikai.
The ‘Kamini Kusha Loidang Ningsing Khorirol Mana, 2022’ was presented to Laishram Shyamo from Kangabok Lambi Wangma, Thoubal district, while the ‘Thokchom Amuba Sashtri Ningsing Khorirol Mana, 2022’ was presented to Heikham Chaoba Devi from Wangjing, Thoubal district and Okendro Khundongbam from Heirok, Thoubal district.
Later, the ‘Khori lup Best Book of the Year, 2022’ was presented to Bhorot Sanasam from Lamding, Thoubal district.
As part of the occasion, Khorirol Sanglen Wangjing's yearly publication titled ‘Ethil’ with Ibosana Yambem as the editor was also released.
The event was attended by convenor of Manipur language advisory board of the Sahitya Academy New Delhi Nongmaithem Kirankumar as the chief guest, Khorirol Sandoklup Wangjing president Tongbram Babulal as the president, and Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Thoubal district president Moirangthem Rajendra and Ningol Khut Manipur Wangjing president Khundongbam Gunamani Leima as the guests of honour, along with other literature enthusiasts of the state.
