A book of poems titled ‘Apaiba Tangoi’ written by renowned Manipuri poet Mei Bhagat was released at Hotel Kalpa, Ulubari, Guwahati on Wednesday.

Professor Rajen Toijamba of Manipur University attended the event as chief guest and he released the book which is the fourth book of the poet.

Former president of Assam Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Kamrup district Naorem Amuyaima talked about the book ‘Apaiba Tangoi’ which was published under the banner of Cultural Forum Manipur.

The event was presided over by president, Cultural Forum Manipur Huirem Bihari, while editor Echemma journal Thounaojam Shyam; president Patriotic Writers Forum, Assam Branch Phuritsabam Birmani; secretary Assam Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Leisungbam Rajkishwor and president, Assam Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Kamrup District Committee Huirem Hemango attended as special invitees.

The three other noted works of Mei Bhagat included ‘Taningde Basantagi Khonjel’ ( 2006), ‘Wathok’ ( 2014) and ‘Kaoba Ngamloi Punsida’ (2017).
