The Shumang Leela Ningtham Kumhei 2022, which has been scheduled to begin from December 20, has been postponed to December 24 due to “unavoidable circumstances,” the organisers said.
In a press conference held at Iboyaima Shumang Leela Shanglen on Friday, the Manipur State Shumang Leela Council (MSSLC) lifetime secretary Hemanta Sougrakpam said that the MSSLC was all set to launch the 19th edition of Shumang Leela Ningtham Kumhei from December 20.
However, due to some unavoidable circumstances, it has been rescheduled from December 24 to January 4, 2023. The council appealed to people of the state to bear the inconveniences and extend their cooperation to make the festival a grand success.
He informed that only one Shumang Leela will be performed each day from December 24 to January 4.
