3,22,64,051 people recover from COVID-19 in India

As many as 39,114 more recoveries pushed India's COVID-19 recovery rate to 97.48 per cent, the Union Health Ministry said.

India on Wednesday recorded 97.48 per cent COVID-19 recovery rate as 39,114 more recoveries pushed total COVID-19 recoveries in the country to 3,22,64,051, according to the latest update by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

The country also recorded 37,875 new COVID-19 positive cases. With it, the total COVID-19 confirmed cases mounted to 3,30,96,718, including 3,91,256 COVID-19 active cases and 4,41,411 total deaths. As many as 369 deaths were reported on Wednesday.

While the country’s COVID-19 active cases account for 1.18 per cent of the total cases, the weekly positivity rate stood at 2.49 per cent, less than three per cent for the last 75 days and the daily positivity rate reported to be 2.16 per cent, less than three per cent for last nine days

Meanwhile, a total of 53,49,43,093 test for CIVID-19 have been conducted and a total of 70,75,43,018 vaccine doses have been administered across the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
