Essentials provided to children home on Teachers’ Day

The orphaned children of Compassionate Children Home Taloulong were provided rice and various essential items.

MLA Nemcha Kipgen reached out to orphaned children of Compassionate Children Home Taloulong with rice and various essential items on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

There are more than 60 children at the home and they have been facing grievances during lockdown and curfew owing to the pandemic COVID-19, said the home authority.

“We prayed to God to give us enough food so that our children do not go hungry during this pandemic and God answered our prayers as MLA Nemcha Kipgen reached out with abundant rice and other essentials,” the home authority said.

MLA Nemcha Kipgen said that as a public representative she has been monitoring and taking stock of all situations and had pledged to ensure that no one goes hungry during the pandemic.

“I consider helping the poor people during this pandemic as a missionary work being an elected representative and I work for humanity as I strongly believe that serving humankind is serving God,” she said
