India reports 30,941 new COVID-19 positive cases, 350 deaths

India's COVID-19 active caseload reached 3,70,640, accounting for 1.13 per cent of the total COVID-19 confirmed cases of 3,27,68,880 as per the latest official update.

India on Tuesday reported 30,941 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.

The country’s COVID-19 active caseload currently stands at 3,70,640, accounting for 1.13 per cent of the total COVID-19 confirmed cases of 3,27,68,880.

Recovery Rate currently is 97.53 per cent as the country reported 36,275 new recoveries in the last 24 hours. The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in India reached 3,19,59,680

The Weekly Positivity Rate remained below three per cent for last 67 days at 2.51 per cent.

Daily positivity rate also remained less that three per cent at 2.22 per cent.

Meanwhile, 350 more COVID-19 related deaths pushed the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 4,38,560. So far, Maharashtra has reported the highest number of deaths due to COVID-19 at 1,37,209. Kerala continues to report highest number of daily COVID-19 deaths at 132 total in the last 24 hours, as per the ministry’s latest update.

Ahead of the looming third wave, a total of 52,15,41,098 COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far. A total of 13,94,573 tests were conducted on Monday (August 30).

A total of 64,05,28,644 vaccine doses have been administered across the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. On Sunday, 59,62,286 total vaccine doses were administered.
