SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination 2021 to begin from August 13; check details here

The SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination 2021 will be conducted in 120 cities across India from August 13 to 24.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) tier 1 2021 examination to fill 7,035 vacancies, from August 13-24  at various examination centres across states in India.

The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2021 will be conducted in 120 cities across India.

The admit cards for the SSC CGL Tier 1 Examination 2021 have been released for candidates by their respective SSC regions.

This SSC CGL is held to fill up various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts, including clerks, accountants, assistants, auditors, section officers and inspectors, in different ministries, departments and organisations.

Around 30 lakh students are expected to appear for the SSC exam.

The SSC examination, which was initially scheduled in May-June, was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Candidates are advised to check the admit card details, exam dates, exam pattern and last-minute instructions. 

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2021 exam pattern and marks distribution

1. SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2021 is of 60 minutes.

2. It will have four sections - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.

3. The paper has a total of 100 questions - each section will have 25 questions for 50 marks.

4. For each wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted.

Five Important Points to Note

1. Incriminating articles/material such as reading material like books, magazines, etc., or electronic gadgets like mobile phones and accessories, Bluetooth devices, button hole camera, pen camera, scanner calculator  whether they are in switched on or off mode, or are in use or not, are strictly prohibited.

2. Candidates must carry at least one valid photo-bearing identity proof in "original" with clear photograph. If the Photo Identity Card does not contain the complete Date of Birth, then the candidate must carry an additional original document having the Date of Birth as printed on the admit card.

3. Candidates must be present in the Examination Hall at least half an hour prior to the exam.

4. Use black ball-point pen or black ink pen.
