As many as 18,788 persons have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 6,056 persons have been fully vaccinated so far in Ukhrul, sources said.
In all, 24,844 of the total 87,633 eligible population in Ukhrul district have been vaccinated till date, the district health department sources said.
As many as 155 eligible persons were vaccinated and 18 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 while eight patients were discharged on Wednesday, taking the total active caseload to 114.
According to DSO Ukhrul, the cumulative number of positive cases reached 1,037 with 597 males and 440 females. The cumulative fatality count stands at 29.
Of the 114 active cases, 36 patients are at district hospital isolation ward, 45 patients are at transit Covid care centre, eight patients are at TK Woodland Covid hospital, 23 patients are at Ukhrul higher secondary school CHIC, and two are at Jessami village CHIC. The district reported six new positive cases on Tuesday.
