Police constable falls unconscious in queue for COVID-19 vaccine, dies in hospital

The incident happened on Thursday afternoon at the 1st  Manipur Rifles campus in Imphal.

A constable of Imphal West District Police died after falling unconscious while standing in a queue waiting for his turn to administer COVID-19 vaccine.

The incident happened on Thursday afternoon at the 1st  Manipur Rifles campus in Imphal.  The deceased was identified as Kamgougin Singsit, 26, son of Lunkhosei Singsit of Keithelmanbi, Imphal West district.

The unconscious person was rushed to RIMS for medical treatment, but breathed his last at the hospital. Imphal Police Station has registered a case into the incident and the dead body was later handed over to his family members after post-mortem.
