Thoubal district police on Wednesday detained curfew violators at Lilong Keithel Aliya Lamkhai and subjected them to COVID-19 tests at the spot.

The drive was jointly conducted by the police, Medical department and Lilong assembly constituency Covid Committee along with the staff of District Administration, Thoubal.

Of a total of 44 people who underwent tests during the drive, four tested positive for COVID-19. The individuals who tested positive for the virus have been referred to respective Covid Care Centres concerned, sources said.
