Cyclone Yaas hits Odisha, West Bengal; rescue and restoration work underway

The chief minister office Odisha informed in a tweet that restoration work is underway.

Cyclone Yaas has made a landfall in Odisha and inundated coastal areas of Odisha and West Bengal, official sources said.

"Cyclone Yaas has complete the process of landfall. Rainfall will continue till tomorrow. Fishermen are advised not to venture till tomorrow morning because the sea condition going to be rough," the meteorological centre, Bhubaneshwar said.

The chief minister office Odisha informed in a tweet that resporation work is underway.

"To ensure early restoration in #CycloneYaas affected districts, @OdishaFS_HGs_CD  personnel are carrying out restoration work in war footing in different parts of the state. #OdishaFightsYaas," the CMO Odisha tweeted.
