The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has condoled the sudden and untimely demise of Laishram Engam Khuman, an AFC 'B' Licensed Coach, who succumbed to dreaded COVID-19 this Thursday morning.
The AMFA in a condolence message stated that 48-year-old Engam who was fondly called Sana in the football circles, hailed from Uripok Khoisnam Leikai, Imphal West. He had a stint as a Coach with Hindustan FC, New Delhi in the last season. Late Engam is survived by his wife.
The Association recalled the services rendered by Engam Khuman for the development of football, and stated that his sudden demise will create a great loss to sports in the state. AMFA prays for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace in his heavenly abode, and shares the grief of the bereaved family, it stated.
