12 oxygen cylinders arrive in Jiribam
To ensure that there are no shortages of medical use oxygen in the state, District Administration Jiribam will assist the state government by bringing in more oxygen from Assam, said Jiribam DC W Malemnganba Chenglei

Twelve D-Type Oxygen Cylinders of 65 kg, which were bought for Manipur under the supervision of Jiribam DC W Malemnganba Chenglei, arrived at the 50-bedded hospital of Jiribam late Thursday.

As Jiribam district is located near the neighbouring state of Assam, it took advantage of its location in procuring the oxygen cylinders.

To ensure that there are no shortages of medical use oxygen in the state, District Administration Jiribam will assist the state government by bringing in more oxygen from Assam, said Jiribam DC W Malemnganba Chenglei at the occasion.

Expressing serious concerns over the spike of positive cases in the country and Manipur state, he said the state government has been putting all efforts to make sure that there is adequate supply of medical use oxygen, he said.

A team of District Administration Jiribam went to Cachar district in Assam and bought 12 Oxygen Cylinders of 65kg, he added. “We hope that these cylinders will fill in the supply of medical use oxygen in the state. In the future, District Administration Jiribam will put more efforts in bringing in more oxygen supply,” he added.  

The occasion was attended by District Police Jiribam SP Ganashyam Sharma; SDO S Indrajit Singh; CMO Dr E Okendro Singh, medical superintendent Dr Jotin and DIO Dr Ng Bembem.
