Nagaland's COVID-19 tally surpasses 14000-mark

A total of 158 new COVID-19 positive cases were recorded in Nagaland on Saturday.

The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nagaland surpassed 14000-mark on Saturday, according to the latest update by the state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.

With 158 new COVID-19 positive cases, the state's tally surged to 14,134, Phom said in a tweet.

Dimapur reported the highest number of new COVID-19 positive cases at 110, followed by Kohima at 39. Mokokchung reported six new cases, while Wokha and Longleng reported one case each on Saturday, the state health minister said.

With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in Nagaland has risen to 1,353.

"Update! 158 +ve cases of COVID-19 reported today.  Dimapur- 110, Kohima- 39, Mokokchung- 6, Mon- Wokha- Longleng- 1 each. And, 44 +ve patients have recovered. Kohima- 34, Dimapur- 9, Mokokchung- 1. Total +ve cases- 14134 Recovered- 12268 Active Cases- 1353," the state health minister tweeted.

As per the state health department, 101 COVID-19 patients have died in Nagaland so far, of which 10 deaths are not due to COVID-19 while one death is under investigation.
