New COVID Care Centre opened at GNM School of Nursing

The centre will put up COVID-19 infected patients who are asymptomatic.

As a part of the preventive measures taken up by the state government against the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, a 100 bedded COVID Care Centre was opened on Thursday at the building of GNM School of Nursing located at Thoubal District Hospital complex.

The COVID Care Centre is jointly set up by District Administration, Thoubal and District Health Society, Thoubal.  One doctor, two nurses, two drivers along with two staff of the Multi Tasks Force have started doing their duties at the COVID Care Centre. The centre will put up COVID-19 infected patients who are asymptomatic.

Talking to the media persons, CMO of Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul informed that all the patients admitted at the COVID care centre must bring their own clothes, food items and other necessary items. The district administration and district health society will only provide beds and water for using the washroom, he added.

On the other hand, District Administration, Thoubal and District Health Society, Thoubal have opened a 50 bedded COVID care centre only for non-Manipuri patients at Wangjing Kodompokpi Sports Complex on Wednesday.
