The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has informed its district associations to recommend one highest ranking team of their ‘top division league’ for participating in the 24th Thangjam Birchandra-Maipakpi Memorial Winners' Cup 2021 on or before May 15.
According to AMFA, the district associations which included Imphal West District Football Association, DSA Kakching, DFA Thoubal, DSA Chandel, UDSA Ukhrul, DFA Moirang, DSA Bishnupur, DSA Churchandpur, DFA Lonpi, SHDSA Kangpokpi and AJSA Jiribam are to recommend a top division team each.
It may be mentioned that Imphal East District Football Association (IEDFA) started their league season late and are yet to complete either Super Division or First Division. Both the league has been put on hold due to COVID-19 pandemic and upcoming election of IEDFA on May 2.
