Civil body seeks security for protection of sacred site at Mt Koubru

KHANSI said its volunteers are guarding and protecting the sacred place at Koubru Hills that lies in Kangpokpi hill district of Manipur

The Kwai Nungseng Sintha Lup (KHANSI) has urged the state government to provide security forces at Mt Koubru, stating that its volunteers are protecting the sacred site. It also appealed the governmet to repair the place of worship and make it a world heritage site.

Until the state government takes up activities for constructing the sacred site, the KHANSI Lup volunteers will guard the Koubru, KHANSI advisor M A Jalal told the media in a press meet held at Manipur Press Club.

The organisation urged the state government to provide security forces to protect the place from any kind of hindrance, he said.  He said the state government should declare the site as a protected area.
