Arunachal COVID-19 tally nears 100 mark with four new cases

All the four new cases are returnees. Three patients returned from Delhi and hail from Changlang district while one from Itanagar returned from Kolkata

Arunachal Pradesh's COVID-19 tally nears 100-mark as four more persons tested positive for the infection, the state health department said on Wednesday.

All the four new cases are returnees. Three patients returned from Delhi and hail from Changlang district while one from Itanagar returned from Kolkata. With it, the state now has 99 COVID-19 positive cases of which, 92 are active cases while seven patients have recovered, a state health official said.

The four new patients were asymptomatic and were in quarantine centres. They have been shifted to COVID-19 care facilities in the state after they were found to be infected with COVID-19, he said.

Since the first COVID-19 positive case was reported in the state on April 2, Changlang has recorded the highest number of cases at 60. The first patient has been recovered on April 16.
