UPF, KNO signed extension of SoO for another six months

Five UG groups under the umbrella of UPF and one from KNO signed their extension of SoO for six months at New Delhi.

The United People’s Front (UPF) and Kuki National Organisation (KNO) have signed extension of Suspension of Operation (SoO) with the Union and state government on Thursday at around 12 noon at BSF Mess, Nizamuddin, New Delhi.

Five UG groups under the umbrella of UPF and one from KNO signed their extension of SoO for six months at New Delhi after a discussion was held where joint secretary (NE) led the proceeding. The meeting was attended by special secretary (Home), Government of Manipur and joint director IB (NE). 

Stipend to be delivered to the UG cadres and renovation of designation camp were discussed in the meeting. The need for unity among the SoO groups for political solution was also pointed out and strongly considered, said a source from Delhi.

It may be mentioned that based on the extension of SoO for six months after the UPF and KNO signed the agreement a decade ago, the present extension will be effective till August 31 with the end of present agreement on February 28.
