Taiwan helps Mizoram with materials to combat COVID-19

The materials included N95 masks, medical masks and other items.

Mizoram heaved a sigh of relief when the government of Taiwan came with its bounty to share with the latter during this trying time.

According to Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga, materials worth Rs 45 lakh needed to combat COVID-19 were donated by Taiwan to Mizoram. The materials included N95 masks, medical masks and other items.

According to Zoramthanga, Meiho University of Taiwan also donated advanced RT-PCR test kits worth Rs 15 lakh to Mizoram. The items are yet to arrive in the State. The Chief Minister said that the donated materials in be arriving in Delhi on Saturday. From there the onward transportation will be arranged as soon as possible, said the chief minister.

The Mizoram chief minister then expressed his immense gratitude to the government of Taiwan for the donation.
