The Ministry of Education on Friday gave nod to the Manipur University authority to take appropriate action in accordance with the Statue 2 (6) of the Manipur University Act regarding assigning the charge of the office of vice chancellor of the university.
The ministry on December 4 wrote to MU Registrar to wait for further communication in connection with the charge of VC in-charge of Manipur University.
Various student bodies in the state had even warned of launching intense agitations if the ministry of education fails to appoint regular or interim vice chancellor of Manipur University within December 14.
