Manipur: Students of dance-music colleges protest against attack on teacher

The attack on teacher Bilash by MUC students is highly condemnable, the student unions of dance-music colleges in Manipur said.

The student unions of the Government Dance College, JN Dance Academy, Government Music College and AMA jointly staged a sit-in protest on Thursday demanding to resolve the ongoing issues in connection with admission in MA at Manipur University of Culture (MUC).

Speaking to the media, secretary-general of Government Dance College, Saknaibi Potsangbam said that while the four student unions of dance and music colleges of the state have been protesting for not allowing admission in MUC, they strongly condemned the attack on the academic council teachers on November 28. The unions demand to take action against those who had attacked the teachers, she added.

While demanding to change the MUC norms and bring solution at the earliest, Saknaibi also said that the attack on teacher Bilash by MUC students was personal and is highly condemnable.
