Elected BJP MLA of Wangjing-Tentha AC, Paonam Brojen, on winning the election said he has no intention of becoming a minister
“I have no intention to become a minister. I shall comply with whatever the chief minister decides and try my level best to make the present BJP-led government last longer in the state,” Brojen said.
While coming to take his winning certificate from the RO of the by-election, Brojen interacted with the media persons and stated that the people of the state and particularly the people of Wangjing-Tentha AC have shown their support to the BJP. The next term will also be ruled by the BJP government in the state, he added.
He further said that he will proceed to materialise all the developmental works and bring all the possible government schemes for the people in the assembly constituency. The decision of the people in electing him as MLA will not be proven wrong, said Brojen.
He continued that he had resigned from Congress and joined BJP and the attempt of contesting from a different party has been successful after the result of the by-election came out.
“I owe the people of Wangjing-Tentha assembly constituency and shall never forget their support. An MLA is for the people and I will try my level best to serve the people and bring maximum development in the assembly. Moreover, the farmers will be made benefitted under various schemes sanctioned by the Centre,” said Brojen.
Presently, the time has changed and people have lost their trust in the Congress party. The results of the by-election in four assembly constituencies have set the example that people of the state are also in favour of the BJP government, he added.
