Reception programme for Manipur Kabui Students Union held

Various civil voluntary organisations organised a reception programme for executives of the newly formed Manipur Kabui Students Union at the office of Indigenous People’s Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) on Thursday.

President of Federation of Haomee, Sapamcha Jadumani, who was chief guest of the function, said that formation of Manipur Kabui Students Union will contribute in preserving the Kabui community of the State.

He said that the union should take the responsibility to preserve the cultural identity of the Kabui community and that it should also make sure that the community are not denied from receiving their rights.

President of Kabui Union, Heera Kabui encouraged the Manipur Kabui Students Union to actively participate in any works taken for the indigenous people of the State.

President of IPAK Kshetrimayum Somorendro exhorted the student union to oppose any external force that can threaten the unity of the State.
