Mizoram's COVID-19 tally rises to 2,220

Eight more persons were confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus on Wednesday.

Mizoram's COVID-19 tally rose to 2,220, including 1,823 males and 397 females, after eight more persons were confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus on Wednesday, according to official data.

Of the total confirmed COVID-19 cases, as many as 2,108 patients have been discharged. The number of active cases stands at 112, the DIPR Mizoram posted on Twitter Thursday morning.

On Wednesday, 10 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed across the state while 15 persons were discharged and the recovery rate in Mizoram is 95.30 per cent.

So far no COVID-19 related death has been reported in Mizoram.
