ACM Awards 2020: ‘Fooled Around and Fell in Love’ by Miranda and friends wins Music Event of the Year

“What a day! I’m so happy to share this moment with these artists I respect so much. Not only that, I’m thankful to call them all friends,” Miranda said on winning the award.

Fooled Around and Fell in Love by country music greats Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Towns, Caylee Hammack and Elle King won the Music Event of the Year at the ACM Awards.

“What a day! I’m so happy to share this moment with these artists I respect so much. Not only that, I’m thankful to call them all friends,” Miranda posted in social media platform on winning the award.

Country music artistes Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Towns, Caylee Hammack and Elle King came together in Fooled Around and Fell in Love and delivered a fun and beautiful rendition of Elvin Bishops’s 1976 hit.

What a day, indeed! It is no surprise that the power house of women in country music won the hearts of millions the world over with their song Fooled Around and Fell in Love, as millions of their fans fell in love with the song and the award is so deserving.

The fronted cover of the song was released in 2019 before Miranda Lambert hit the road for the ‘Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour.

The Academy of Country Music Awards 2020 was announced via ‘CBS This Morning’ on Monday.

This year, the Academy of Country Music Awards was scheduled in April at Las Vegas. However, the music event was postponed in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
