Entries invited for short filmmakers

Selected persons will be eligible for a funding of Rs 1 lakh and mentorship from the bigwigs of the industry.

In a bid to promote the work of young and talented Independent short filmmakers, Atvi Studios, a unit of Atvi Infotainment has launched the first Atvi Indie Talent Grant, 2020 for those aspiring to see their scripts in motion pictures.

A statement stated that aspirants will have to submit the synopsis of their script for a short film which is under 30 minutes in duration. A maximum of three scripts under the topics: stories or experiences from Northeast India, inspirational stories and experiences and open house (any topic), will be chosen through a process, it stated.

It stated that selected persons will be eligible for a funding of Rs 1 lakh and mentorship from the bigwigs of the industry. 

There is no submission fee and the criteria to apply are very simple. The owner or author must submit the script, and the material must be an original, previously unpublished one, it stated. Selected persons will be under the mentorship of renowned persons of the industry who will guide them through the production process, it added.

It further stated that the grant aims to promote short filmmakers from across the country and the submissions for the grant are now open up till September 23, 2020.
