‘Mass testing for COVID-19 needed, positive cases should be isolated properly’

The main factor for rapid spreading of COVID-19 is the lack of mass testing and proper isolation of positive patients, the AISF said.

The All India Students’ Federation (AISF) has appealed to the government for mass COVID-19 testing to efficiently tackle the problem of its spreading and to isolate the positive patients properly for treatment.

The main factor for rapid spreading of COVID-19 is the lack of mass testing and proper isolation of the positive patients, a release stated. Absence of these is proving the lockdown as useless, it added.

Moreover, many localities have blocked the roads and streets making the state look like a lawless state, it stated.

The state has more number of people who are daily wage workers and are left with no work for months so far, it stated. This is making the people living from hand to mouth hard to survive, it added.

The government should understand that the public is unsatisfied with stopping distributions after just 5 kgs of rice, it stated.

Lockdown should be carried out effectively with mass testing so as to return to the normal life as soon as possible, it added
